Historical Background
The Kuvasz is an ancient Hungarian livestock guardian breed with roots tracing back to nomadic tribes who settled in the Carpathian Basin. Historically used to guard sheep and cattle from predators and thieves, the breed was also favored by Hungarian nobility for estate protection.
